PORTSMOUTH AMBULANCE/WURTLAND NURSING CENTER
Mock Disaster Drill

ASHLAND, KY: Portsmouth Ambulance and Greenup County Emergency Management conducted a mock disaster drill at the Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The center, located at 100 Wurtland Avenue in Wurtland, KY needed to evaluate their evacuation and emergency procedures. This drill involved a simulated fire in the facility and required the evacuation of a portion of the center. Ambulance and fire response along with the center’s emergency plan was evaluated by the facility and emergency management.

Established in 1978 as Portsmouth Ambulance, this Tri-State medical transport company has stations in Portsmouth and Piketon, OH as well as the Ashland, KY location.
